Jobs as manager and buyer at Vinylmania Records, Head of Sales and A&R Coordinator at Jellybean Recordings (Label Of Jellybean Benitez) and Promoter at Wave Music (Label of Francois K), set a strong foundation for Shawn's love of music early on while continuing to learn his DJing craft from listening to Legends such as Larry Levan (Paradie Garage), David Mancuso (The loft), Nicky Siano (Studio 54), David Morales and Masters at Work. He later studied Sound Engineering in Sydney, Australia and worked at one of Australia's largest recording studios, Trackdown Scoring Stage. Shawn has been writing monthly music reviews for DJ Times since 1999 and is also currently Vice President, Creative Director and A&R Coordinator at Muted Trax, an underground House music label in New York City. Shawn Christopher is, and always will be a DJ's, DJ and continues to play New York City and worldwide.
